Holiday July 2003 part 10
Well, we left Hungary in the morning and
around 17.00 hr. we were in Germany.
Jimmy and Moni live just across the
Austrian border in a little town called
Siegsdorf. Only 30 km from Salzburg
and about 75 from Munich. This picture
I took while I was driving a few miles
before the border.

After a nice shower and a little rest
we went to a fine restaurant to have
the first German Dinner again with
gigantic Wiener Schnitzels and
half a liter white beer.
No pictures made there but when we
went away I shot this nice sunset.

This is Jim and Moni's new car.
Well it is partly of the bank.
We all went to bed pretty early that night.
Next morning I first walked with Moni
to the village to do some shopping.
It was a nice 20 minutes walk
along side the little river Traun.
In the little city there is a Mammoth museum
and this fellow stands in the park across it.
After our breakfast Moni and I went
for a nice drive in the surrounding.
We planned to go to the Chiem see.
And after 30 km. we arrived there.

After a nice swim and a good lunch we
drove back through another nice way.
Mostly it was flat but sometimes we had
to climb a little bit, but we got a nice view.
Later on the day I also drove to Traunstein
to buy some stuff and I saw one shop that
was completely filled with statues.
This is a picture of the center of
Traunstein. The tower on the left is
also the way to go downtown. You
can drive under through it.
As you can see it was still great weather.
Between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius and
regular I stopped and walked in the little
river called the Traun. It was maximum only
50 cm. deep and you could see the fishes.
This is one of the last pictures I took in Germany.
It was around 19.00 hr. and the sun was still
shining very strong. I saw the shadow the
whole day so now I captured it for ever.
When I came back in Holland It was
still nice weather so I took my bicycle
and drove a little bit around Eindhoven.
This is one of the few mills in my
neighborhood.

This picture is only taken about 5
minutes riding on the bike from me.
It is still in Eindhoven and I regular
ride around here to get some rest.
A few days later I went camping
in the Belgium Ardennes with my kids.
It was in the neighborhood of
Rocheforte. Here a shot from
the old castle they have there.
We stayed in the village Houyet, which
is situated along side the river Lisse.
There was a little fancy fair in town
and also an exhibition of old motors.
Also there I was riding on my bicycle
and I passed this beautiful house,
when I was on my way to Han.
In Han you find the famous caves
and of course I visited them, but
it was hard to make a good picture.
This is the end of this report.
