Because Siegsdorf is very close to where
Hitler
had his summer house, we decided to to visited
that place. As I understood it was a man called Jacob
who saved the place from destroying after the war.
You can only reach it to drive to a parking space at
around a 1000 meters high and then pay 13 euro
for the last 900 meters and entrance to the house.
The drive with my car was already a miracle,
because it was sometimes very strait up.
The bus ride was amazing too and when we
reached the house and went with the elevator
up, we got to see this beautiful view.

Of course you stand there with mixed feelings
and you hoped to see some more information
about what the price had been for this place.
There was only a small exhibition about
how the house was build, but nothing
about the terrors of war.
The only thing that's left is the amazing view.

One hour later we went down the hill again
and drove a few km to arrive in a little
German village, where there was a market.
We stopped to buy some bread and meat,
but for a brief moment we went into a
a big tent and saw part of a bierfest.
Here is Markus again on the picture.

We left the village and after we crossed
the
Austrian border we stopped in the woods
and had a great meal, behind my car.

After that we just drove through Austria,
only stopping for petrol, no gas there and
the occasional sanitary stop. At 18.00hrs
we stopped at the Hungarian border
and changed some money.

Around nine in the evening we arrived in Budapest
and I drove to Racz-kert to meet some friends.
I had an appointment with Victor but I missed
him somehow so I called several other friends.
One of them was Tamas and the other Atilla.
Both show up and only Atilla and Markus
could drink, because in Hungary it is
zero tolerance, so no drinking while driving.
We decided to sleep at Atilla's place, so we
bought some white beer to take home
and talked into the night.
I had to get up at 8 because the car was
parked in a street with a parking meter
and you can not pay the night before.
So I paid and went back to bed for a few more hours.
The rest of the day I showed Marcus a little bit of
the town, while I was delivering packages which
different friends of me had ordered in Holland.
No dope, only cd's and some books.
This picture of Marcus is taken close to
the record shop where I had to go.
This poster is hanging on the opposite side of the
cd shop and is about Austrian water.
This is the cd shop of Pándi Zsuzsa, manager of
Kaláka and she has a great collection of real
traditional folk music, mostly out Eastern Europe.
The address is; V. ker, Bárczy I. u. 10.
The webside of Kaláka you will find here;
kaláka.hu
Of course we went also up the Gellert hill
to see the Citadel and a picture of that
with my car you'll find on my Peugeot pages.
So, here once again my Canadian friend.
Later that day we met my friend Victor, who is
living in one of the most beautiful parts of Buda.
We settled in and we had some drinks but
I had an appointment next day with a great
painter, who lives in the village Hont.
But we kept drinking until 3 and then we
went to bed for our beauty sleep.
So here is Victor.
So the next morning I went to pick up
a girlfriend and we drove to Hont to meet
Kolozsvári Grandpierre Miklós.
He is besides painter also sculpturist and
nowadays he also creates miniature sculptures
closed into precious stones. Besides that he is
also a father of 4 daughters. I asked him to contribute
to the project of my friend Martin S. Past who
is traveling around the world in 80 questions.

He was very enthusiastic about that
and he promised that his piece
would be ready next week.
The next picture is him with Bertok Ildiko
in his gallery, next to a beautiful marble figure.
The next picture is also in his gallery
and you see a little bit of his fantastic work.
I tried to make a good picture of his
miniature sculptures, but I had to do it
from my hand it was to difficult, but
maybe this gives a little impression.
On the next picture you see one of the 3
big pieces of marble he has in his garden
and he will start working on these when
it is not so hot anymore.
It was already after 3 and it was time
to drive back to Budapest. I thank
Miklos for his warm reception
and we made a new appointment
for next week with Martin and Troitsa.
On the way back we bought one watermelon
and Ildiko learned me how to tell if they were
sweet enough by clapping on them and
listening to the deep sound. All of them were
are 10 kilo each. Pretty heavy but nicely tasty.
That night I had dinner with Victor and Marcus
in a pizzeria called Marxism, which was filled
with all kinds of communistic drawings.
Again not good light to make pictures.
