On this page I will put pictures of my Peugeot 404.
It is from 01-10-1970 and it runs on autogas.
The first one is when I bought it and I came close
to my home on a small road in the country.
I bought the car on Monday 14-04-2003

Two weeks later I drove a Peugeot club rally with it.
It was a ride from Utrecht to Zandvoort.
It started at the Peugeot Experience near Utrecht
and about 80 members showed up.
Here are a few of the real old-timers.

And some more of them.

And the last ones are standing in Zandvoort
near the sea. It was a pity that the weather
was so bad. But inside it was warm and cozy.

Next I had to buy some material for my car
and I parked it right beside a white version.
This one is even older then mine.

This one is in my hometown Eindhoven,
in front of a friends house. His name is
Martin S. Past and he is busy with a
project called in 80 questions around the world.
See for more info his website at;
80vragen.dse.nl

Another one taken in the country near Amezoden.
Amezoden is close to Den Bosch. In the background
you can see a nice little castle.

Here the car is parked in front of another castle.
This one is in Geldrop and that is very close to Eindhoven.

Here I parked in front of the old part
of the Van Abbe museum in Eindhoven.
They just made it several times bigger
and later I will park at the other side
and show you what they made of it.

I met this car when I was at the
magazine
of the Peugeot club near Dordrecht.
Some people of a painter class did the job.

This one is close to Ruigoord, Amsterdam.
These windmills are really huge.
More about Ruigoord you find on my pages.

Here it is as a multi media car
on a party near my hometown.
On the front side was a screen
I projected video on.
On the top I had 2 cd players,
mixing board and speakers.
In the back some instruments
of my friend Steve Hubback.
See his website at hubgong.dse.nl

OK, it's time to go abroad with this car.
Here it is in the south of Germany,
close to the border of Austria, near Salzburg.
It was taken on Sunday July 6, 2003.
In the back you see how they grow wine.

Here we see a windmill park in Austria.
These were smaller than the one at Ruigoord.
And we go on to the Hungarian border.
Always a good place to stop and eat
and drink something before going on.
This was in front of the Citadel in Budapest.
The Hungarians called her always the lady
with the fish instead of feather she has in her hands.
The statue is on top of the Gellert Hill in Buda.
Later I had to visit the famous painter
Kolozsvári Grandpierre Miklós, in a little
village called Hont near the Slovak border.
I parked in front of his house with gallery.
I had to deliver a canvas for a project of
a good friend, who is traveling the world
in 80 questions. See his site in my link page,
for more information.
The next day I delivered some cd's
to a small record store in Budapest
and as you see, I parked in front of
the poster of the Sziget festival.
I will be on that festival supporting
Jimmy Carl Black on the blues stage.
The Sziget festival is the biggest
festival in Eastern Europe.
More then 400 groups will play
on several stages during one week.

On Thursday July 11, 2003 I was
invited to be on the 4 day Kaláka
festival in Diósgyór near Miskolc.
First I went to a special concert
in the garden of the mayor in Miskolc.
A special site about this famous
folk festival is on my site.
This picture is taken in Miskolc,
close to the garden of the mayor.
The festival itself was hold in Diósgyór.
A place that you see on the 200 forint bill.
It is about 10 km. from Miskolc.

Sometimes my car is thirsty and
because it runs on autogas,
you have to find the gas stations.
In the whole of Budapest,
there are only 2.
One is 20 km. and the other
25 km. from the center.
This is the one on Uloi street.

On July 16 I was together with my friend Martin,
from the project in 80 questions around the world,
in Buda for a concert with Troitsa.
Two Dutch cars, parked close together.

Also in Budapest they have parking meters
I paid but I staid longer away then planned,
so I got this little red bag. The Hungarians
call it a Sant Claus present and for me it
is just a collector item until they join the EU.
I saw also that they changed the color
of the bag into blue, because red made
the people aggressive and they drew it away.
A long time ago there was a beautiful club called
Tiloz as À, which means; Forbidden to.
Sadly the club disappeared and later it
was replaced with this Zappa bar.
Vojnitz Atilla did the paintings inside,
but it never got the atmosphere it had before.
Even Frank Zappa was in here
before it changed the name.
On Bartok Bela street is a youth hostel.
I never been inside but I parked my car
often in front because it is one of the few
streets in Budapest to park free and around
the corner lives Vojnitz Atilla, painter, musician
and organizer of many concerts for different bands.
I only parked here for a moment, because this
very famous hotel is to expensive for me.
The hotel has one of the most beautiful
indoor pools and also a nice outdoor one.
Here I parked in front of Petöfi Csarnok.
A place for concerts, exhibitions, special fan
club nights, flea and record markets
and Internet café. More info on their site at;
www.petoficsarnok.hu
A few hundreds meters of there is also
the transport museum and I think
this looks good too.
And this one is downtown Pest,
close to the Danube.
Here my car is parked in front
of the apartment house I stay in.
This is close to the house of my friend Tamás.
In the distance you can see the Danube.
One place people should visit when they are
in Budapest is the parliament. This beautiful
and big building is situated along side the Danube.
Their are regular tours inside too.
This picture is taken in front of the Artotel.
Inside looks a little bit better then the outside.
In this hotel my friend Jimmy Carl Black
and his wife Moni are staying for 2 days.
Jimmy plays with the Hungarian band;
Cosmik Debris on the Sziget festival.
After that I drive them to Debrecen
and Kapolc for some more gigs.
Of course I will do the lightshow for them.
I drove Jimmy to the rehearsal in Pesti Est.
I parked around the corner and I made this picture.
It was one of the few days with some rain.
