Pictures Reggae Sundance 97
The night before the festival I saw some of the
Revolutionary Dubwarriors at de Bakkery,
so here's that picture of them with me. 
On saturday I came in through the backstage entrance
and there was not much to do yet.
The brother of one of the organizers
was resting for a while,
but I heard a band playing, so I went to the festival field
. Around 15.00hrs I took the first picture.
A band played on stage 
and about a
thousand people were spreaded on the field.
The weather was very good but
the atmosphere was a little bit lazy.
The first 5 meters in front of the stage were dancing
but the rest was laying down on the grass or smokin' it.
Last year I made one picture of somebody rollin' joint.
This year I doubled it 
and next year
I hope to double it again.
One of the suprises for me was a band called
Iration Steppas 
from Leeds.
Quite a different approach of reggae and due
to the warm weather, not everybody got on their feet
but I'm sure many people listened and enjoyed this trio.
Later that night I met the leadsinger
and the bassplayer
at the indoor party and
we shot some pictures.
After a nice meal at the field
I went backstage and made a couple
of pictures of the food supply 
for the crew, 
voluntares
and artists,
and again a picture of some Dubwarriors
I bumped into.
It was around 20.00hrs that there were
about 1500 people around, but there was place enough.
I saw some 
more bands
and soundsystems 
and at 23.00hrs the 
Revolutionary
Dub 
Warriors
went on the indoor stage.
I saw them doing a concert that was
very good and solid and a lot of people
started dancing.
After the concert another soundsystem
took over and nicely at 02.00hrs they
stopped the show and people went away.
Another perfect day with wonderfull
music and entertainment was over.
Thanks to all the people who were involved
with this festival, the bar people, 
security, 
the people 
of the entertainment
, 
ticketsellers, the two 
organisers,
close friends, 
my son 
and ofcourse you,
the audiance.
And I special thanks to
Mark, 
who came from London to see this show.
I hope to see you all next year and
if we all take two people extra it will
be a great party again.
So, Sundance 1998 will be comin' up soon and
