Going out in Eindhoven

Besides 2B and the Effenaar there are some more
interesting places to visit if you go out and want
to see some live music. First of all there's

"De Bakkerij"

A place in the center where I did
programming over a period of two years.
I had a lot of fun there and some interesting
groups appeared on the little stage.

Sometimes you can visit Pop-ei a rehearsel place for bands.
Sometimes very intersting and good beer.

Cafe Wilhelmina has a regular week programm
with a lot of jazz and on sunday afternoon rock music.

Cafe Altstadt has also a stage and now
and then they still do live concerts.
I hope they increase it soon.

New but active is Thunder Roadhouse
with every monday jamsessions and
sunday afternoon rock concerts.
Go for it and I hope they never play
shit music with the carneval anymore.

Almost forgotten but very important is
Dynamo, a center with a lot of activity's and
probably an own homepage somewhere.

Burgers it's a very special place and
soon there is a homepage on the net.
It's startet all from a squatted place and
now they are legal and busy with a lot of things.

New for me is a bar called Kraaij & Balder
where I saw the worst Zappa cover band
I've ever seen in my life before.
They do also something with cabaret there
and the athmospheer is like being
in a livingroom with a lot of drinking.

Kaffee de Groot has sometimes
small live gigs and exhibations.
Owner Hans Sanders is still involved
with the music group Bots.

Cafe de Luwte is located on the place where one of
the two most famous drugsbars of Eindhoven was located.
It's clean now but the toilets are still in the
same condition as they where 25 years ago.
