Introduction/Introduktie
Er gebeurd veel in de wereld en er
wordt veel over geschreven, dus ik
voeg hier nog maar wat aan toe.
Reakties zijn welkom.
There's a lot of misery in the world
and there are a lot of stories written
about that and sure sometimes those
stories help to change the world.
I don't think I'm that good writer but
I will put down some of my thoughts
about world and domestic experiences,
just to remember myself that we are
still not living in a perfect space.
So feel free to react or contribute
to this kind of pages.
Er wordt nog her en der gekraakt
en soms ook ontruimt, de Stuiverstraat
mag in ieder geval weer even blijven.
There still people who occupied a house
and sometimes they have to go.
The Stuiverstraat can stay for another while.
Warm en reggae, kan niet fout gaan.
It was a nice warm day
and reggae was in town,
or better near my own place.
I was in possession of the DSE
digital camera and shot some pictures.
Reggae festival Eindhoven.
Een kunstwerk, een naam en een film.
Not long ago we got this new piece of art
in the center of the city and the mayor
of the city says in a speech that the statue
soon will get a common name.
Well we came up with this:
Nieuw kunstwerk, nieuwe film.
Bus ride
Well to start I traveled with my kids on a bus.
I wanted to buy tickets on the bus,
because mostly I ride a bicycle,
and the driver told me that he
doesn't sell child tickets on the bus.
He only had two kinds of adult tickets
and probably something for old people,
but tickets for kids, no way.
What kind of discrimination is this?
Soon I write to the bus company to find out
t and the results will be published in this story.
Summertime
We had a nice summer this year and since
about two years the city decides it was time
to start collecting separate garbage.
Good thinking and I agreed with the plans,
but I didn't know that from then on
the city only collects one week
organic garbage and the other
week the rest of the junk,
leaving me for two weeks with
the smell of my organic living.
Insects love the system, but I'm
not completely happy with it.
Terror of glass against the weak bike
Connecting to the previous story
is the fact of placing glass containers
near mailboxes and corners and
specially alongside bicycle lanes.
At least once a week I'm
a victim of the glass terror.
Oke, I should buy better quality wheels,
but then I get another problem.
Bikes are easy to steal and at least once
or twice a year, my bike get stolen.
But what to do?
I buy only glass products with refund
and that's part of the solution,
but not for my bicycle.
I heard about a new tire from
a new kind of rubber,
but the price was more higher
than my complete bicycle.
Maybe later more about the
amazing bicycle stories and
ideas I get while riding the bike.
Social welfare
Social welfare is pretty good in Holland,
but until five years ago there was
a special arrangement for artists.
They stopped it and nowadays
it's a hard life for people who decided
to devote a lot of energy to art.
I never announced before that I'm an artist,
but slowly the modern way of living force me to
produce bullshit for money instead of bringing joy,
pleasant feelings, knowledge or amusement.
Now I'm active in the cultural workspace,
behind the back of this service and that makes
the people mad at the welfare because
they can't place me as an artist.
A long fight at enormous costs will follow
and I will ending after a lot of paperwork,
at a minimum income.
I'll be satisfied and be active in the few corners
that are free for a non money prestige life.
